Genetic modification in the lab isn't the only way to supercharge foods with nutrients, notes Jim Myers, a professor specializing in vegetable breeding at Oregon State University. Internationalization Grant: The deadline for the 2023-24 Internationalization Grant has been extended 5 p.m., Feb. 16. Grants of up to $5,000 are offered for projects that advance internationalization within one of three tracks, aligned with “Prosperity Widely Shared”: Research and Innovation; Global and Intercultural Learning; and Career and Workforce Development. $15K of funding available: The OSU Advantage Accelerator is currently seeking applications that describe technology-based projects in any discipline that will move OSU-owned technologies closer to commercialization. Proposals should describe a project that requires $15,000 or less of funding to achieve an important milestone(s) connected to commercialization. Each project may be awarded up to $15,000 and should span six months or less, beginning in March 2024.
