Oregon State University (OSU) is the recipient of a new grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to make public health academic programs more equitable. The 18-month “Transforming Academia for Equity” grant allots $300,000 to OSU’s College of Public Health and Human Sciences; the university is one of seven institutions across the US to receive the grant.
Research led by Oregon State University shows that wildfires are more likely to burn their way into national forests than out of them. The findings contradict the common narrative of a destructive wildfire igniting on remote public land before spreading to threaten communities, said Chris Dunn of the OSU College of Forestry.

Bi-Mart Autopay Program: Effective April 1, OSU’s Autopay agreement with Bi-Mart will end. As a result of this change, OSU employees will no longer be able to direct bill purchases from Bi-Mart to a department index. Bi-Mart has indicated they will not be entering into direct bill agreements with individual OSU departments. Starting in April, it is recommend to use a University Credit Card to make purchases from Bi-Mart.
