Research by the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy suggested that a vaccine stimulating the production of a protein critical to the skin’s antioxidant network could help people bolster their defenses against skin cancer.

Beyond Benefits: Supporting Others Through End of Life. This session will take a holistic look at end-of-life issues, including navigating care needs (including hospice and palliative care), what to expect during the dying process and how to cope with the emotions that arise. We’ll also look at myths surrounding death and dying and how to support your loved one physically and emotionally. If an earthquake, winter storm or other disaster strikes your community, you might not have access to food, water and electricity for days or even weeks. By taking time now to store emergency food supplies, you can provide for your entire family. People can survive for long periods of time without food. However, going days without eating can cause nutrient deficiencies and unpleasant – even dangerous – side effects. Consider maintaining a two week food supply. COVID-19 testing: Oregon State University, in collaboration with Willamette Valley Toxicology (WVT), is providing on-site COVID-19 testing. OSU employees and students, regardless of vaccination status, are welcome to test at one of these locations: Corvallis: Student Experience Center and Cascade Hall 120: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.. During Spring Break, testing takes place Tuesday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in Cascades Hall 120. Spring term testing moves to outside Plageman Hall Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Cascade Hall 120, Tuesday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Bend: Outside Obsidian Hall Monday-Wednesday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. Closed Spring Break.
NCORE 2022 Scholarship and Activities: The National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE) will be held in Portland, May 31-June 4.
