Jonathan Hurst, chief robot officer at Corvallis, Ore.-based Agility, said its humanlike shape gives Digit “the ability to just walk into existing infrastructure and existing workflows and start to do tasks.” He said the robot is designed to take on jobs warehouse operators have trouble hiring people to do, including repetitive roles like loading and unloading storage containers.
An annual end-of-the-school-year event that allows students to donate unneeded items is currently underway at Oregon State University.

Moxie: The OSU Advantage Innovation Impact Program team recently announced our newest program called Moxie: Empowering Women Innovators. Moxie is a dynamic 15-month program designed to support OSU faculty and researchers (including post-docs and graduate students). Selected participants will receive funding totaling $4,000 throughout the program, be paired with a dedicated innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) mentor and have support through the crucial early stages of building your innovation concept. Public Seed Library "Growing a Vegetable Garden" Lecture Series: Linn-Benton County Master Gardener Rich Little will discuss vegetable garden organic pest management 6-7 p.m., June 14 at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library's Meeting Room. Entomologist and home gardener too, Rich knows bugs and can answer your questions about beneficial and harmful pests. NWREC open house: The North Willamette Research & Extension Center (NWREC) in Aurora Oregon is hosting a community open house 4-7 p.m., July 19. Student Health Services is moving: The Plageman Student Health Center is permanently closing at 1 p.m. on June 16, and all Student Health Services locations will be closed from June 19-23. Survivor advocacy services will be available during this closure. OSU Student Health will move to three new locations this summer, including the new Health Center next to Reser Stadium.
