Exploring Scotland’s Cultural Heritage: "Historic Sites and the Role of 3D Scanning in Preservation." Join OSU faculty Todd Kesterson and Joshua Reeves from the College of Liberal Arts to learn about a 6-credit, two-week program examining how 3D scanning technology is revolutionizing historic preservation in Scotland. OSU International Film Festival: The Lost Salmon. "The Lost Salmon" chronicles the life and impact Chinook salmon have on people and the environment. Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar: Emily Yeh (University of CO Boulder) will discuss some of the multidimensional impacts climate change is having on the Tibetan Plateau. The talk will also explain climate justice and why Tibetan herders are experiencing impacts of injustice through environmental change and the policies being proposed for adaptation. 4:30 p.m., Feb. 5 in the Journey Room (MU 104). EXTENDED! Internationalization Grant: The deadline for the 2023-24 Internationalization Grant has been extended to 5 p.m. Feb. 16. Grants of up to $5,000 are offered for projects that advance internationalization within one of three tracks, aligned with “Prosperity Widely Shared”: Research and Innovation; Global and Intercultural Learning; and Career and Workforce Development. Male study participants needed: Researchers in the College of Health at OSU are studying the effects of an FDA-approved drug on people at risk for high blood sugar. We are looking for male study participants between the age of 18-59, who are non-smokers and do not have diabetes. The study involves several visits to the Samaritan Athletic Medicine Center in Corvallis over approximately four months.
