CORVALLIS - Two Oregon State University College of Pharmacy educators' efforts have earned recognition from national professional societies.
Robert W. Boyce was recognized for his work in training pharmacists to improve communication with patients, and Lee Strandberg was honored for excellence in pharmacy administration.
Boyce is director of pharmacy services for OSU's Student Health Services and Strandberg is a professor in pharmaceutical socio-economics and an adjunct professor of public health.
Strandberg, who joined OSU in 1975, earned the National Community Pharmacists Association Foundation's Faculty Excellence in Pharmacy Administration Award.
Boyce, who joined OSU in 1998, received the Paul G. Rogers National Council on Patient Information and Education Medication Communicator Award, named in honor of the former U.S. representative who served for 16 years as chairman of the council.
