CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Tami Ellingson of Corvallis is the new controller of the OSU Alumni Association, a nonprofit organization that maintains alumni relations for Oregon State University. The association provides a wide variety of services to OSU and its more than 150,000 alumni.
A certified public accountant with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Eastern Oregon University, Ellingson has worked in financial management for the Georgia Pacific and Boise Cascade corporations. Most recently she was a controller for Allied Waste Services of Corvallis.
She is married to Craig Ellingson, athletic director and girls' basketball coach at Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis. They have four children, including twin daughters and two sons. Three of the four either have graduated from OSU or are working toward OSU degrees.
The alumni association hosts many events on and off campus; raises money for scholarships; publishes the Oregon Stater magazine; manages the www.osualum.com site; operates the CH2M HILL Alumni Center as a conference and events facility; provides career services to alumni, and conducts myriad other activities in support of OSU and its graduates and friends.
The association is overseen by a volunteer board of directors, and is led by Executive Director Jeff Todd.
"Tami is a wonderful addition to our team," Todd said. "She will make a positive contribution across the organization and university."
