CORVALLIS - The College of Health and Human Performance at Oregon State University has honored two of its faculty members for their achievements.

Jeff McCubbin, an associate professor of exercise and sport science, has received the Carl L. Anderson Outstanding Faculty Award. McCubbin is a national leader in promoting fitness for disabled persons and for training undergraduate and graduate students in the field of movement studies for the disabled. He directs a popular fitness clinic for disabled youth at OSU.

He has a bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg State and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. McCubbin has been on the OSU faculty since 1988.

Carol Soleau, an associate professor of exercise and sport science, has received the college's Excellence in Teaching Award. Students in her advanced classes are given the opportunity to perform with the OSU-Corvallis Oregon Dance troupe, which she directs. She also has taught at the Jacob's Pillow dance school in western Massachusetts.

She has bachelor's and master's degrees from Stanford University. Soleau has been on the OSU faculty since 1977.
