CORVALLIS - Oregon State University will host a picnic for its Seattle-area alumni and friends, current and prospective students and their parents on Wednesday, July 8, at Lake Sammamish State Park. The picnic will begin at 6:30 p.m.

OSU will provide hamburgers, beverages and table service for everyone. Persons whose last name begins with N-Z are asked to bring a salad for six to eight people. Those with last names beginning with A-M are asked to bring a dessert for six to eight.

OSU President Paul Risser and his wife, Les, will be at the picnic as will representatives of the university's Alumni Association, the athletic department and various colleges within OSU.

A total of 13,447 Oregon State University alums live in Washington, he said.
