CORVALLIS - Rebecca Croco, a student at Oregon State University, will perform a piano recital on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in Benton Hall Room 303 on the OSU campus.
Croco, a senior from Corvallis majoring in music and international studies, received the Phi Beta Kappa Award for Writing and the John and Shirley Byrne Scholarship for Excellence in Music in 1991. She studied abroad at the University of Cantabria in Santander, Spain, during the spring of 2002. She currently teaches beginning piano courses at OSU and studies piano with Rachelle McCabe.
Croco will perform "Sonata in a minor, Op. posth. 143" by Franz Schubert; "Berceuse, Op. 57" and "Polonaise in f# minor, Op. 44" by Frédéric Chopin; "Suite, Op. 14" by Béla Bartók; "LaPuerta de Vino" from "Preludes, Book II," and "Minstrels" from "Preludes, Book I" by Claude Debussy; and "Iberia, Volume I" by Isaac Albeniz.
The recital is free and open to the public.
