CORVALLIS - The Music à la Carte concert series at Oregon State University will feature a performance by the OSU Chamber Choir on Thursday, Nov. 6. The free public concert begins at noon in the OSU Memorial Union Lounge.
The Chamber Choir is the premier choral ensemble at OSU. Steven M. Zielke, director of choral studies, directs the 38 select singers.
The choir will perform a diverse program, including "Jamaican Market Place," arranged by Larry Farrow, featuring mezzo-soprano Stephanie Hower; and a version of "O Shenandoah," arranged by Robert Walls, a former director of choirs at OSU and former chair of the OSU Department of Music.
Other selections include "Cry Out and Shout," by contemporary composer Knut Nystedt, "Crucifixus," by Antonio Lotti, "Christus factus es," by Anton Bruckner, and a Sandberg arrangement of Bach's "Come Sweet Death."
