CORVALLIS - An Oregon State University financial aid executive and a retired OSU administrator have earned statewide recognition for their contributions to student fiscal needs.

Patti Brady-Glassman, OSU's assistant director of Financial Aid, and Keith McCreight, who served as director of Financial Aid at OSU for 13 years before retiring, were honored by the Oregon Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.

McCreight received the association's 2002 Distinguished Service Award, while Brady-Glassman was named an association "Unsung Hero" for 2002.

"My award was based on past service," said McCreight, who is a past president of the association. He has worked on a variety of projects for the association, as well as national and regional efforts to streamline and improve financial aid processes within higher education. McCreight started his career at OSU in 1970 as a financial aid counselor. He was appointed director of the office in 1986 and retired in 1999.

Brady-Glassman was honored for her work for the association and the profession, and has served on a variety of association committees, including chairing the Media Committee, which helped produce the 2001 Oregon Public Broadcasting documentary, "Financial Aid for College: Paying for Higher Education with Today's Higher Prices."

Brady-Glassman joined OSU's Financial Aid office in 1989.
