CORVALLIS, Ore - Oregon State University is celebrating the holidays with its annual Children's Party and Holiday Market during the first weekend of December. Both events are free and open to the public. However, space is limited and advance registration is required for OSU's Dec. 3 children's party.

Though the event is designed for children ages 5-12, a sibling under the age of 5 may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the afternoon. Party registration deadline is Nov. 29. To register, call 541-737-1567 or see the Web site at http://www.osumu.org/events_children.htm.

Party activities start at 1 p.m. OSU students will escort children through activities such as holiday crafts, dancing, and singing. Snacks will also be provided. At 3 p.m. Brad's World Reptiles will hold an hour-long presentation.

The party accompanies a two-day holiday craft bazaar, Dec. 2-3. Market hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day in OSU's Memorial Union Ballroom. The event is sponsored by the OSU Memorial Union Craft Center. The market features hand-tooled gifts from community artisans, as well as free live music.
