CORVALLIS, Ore. - An expert from the Cascade Volcano Observatory will examine the Mt. St. Helens eruption 30 years after it occurred in a seminar on Thursday, May 20, at Oregon State University.

"Mt. St. Helens 30 Years On: The Legacy of the 1980 Unrest and Eruption," will be presented by Cynthia Gardner of the Cascade Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, Wash. The seminar, which is free and open to the public, will be at 4 p.m. in Gilfillan Auditorium on the OSU campus.

The event is part of "Earth System Science for a Healthy Planet," a spring seminar series sponsored by the OSU Department of Geosciences.
