CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University professor Roger Graham has been appointed to the Oregon Board of Accountancy.
Graham, a professor of accounting in OSU's College of Business, will serve a four-year term.
The Oregon Board of Accountancy is comprised of seven board members who are appointed by the governor. It is responsible for licensing and regulating certified public accountants (CPAs) and public accountants (PAs) in Oregon.
The Board of Accountancy strives to assure that approximately 9,100 CPAs, PAs, municipal auditors and public accounting firms registered to practice in Oregon demonstrate and maintain professional competency to serve the needs of their clients and other users of their services.
Graham is a leader statewide in the field of accounting. At OSU, he led successful efforts for the addition of a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree at the College of Business.
Larry Brown, an executive in residence and instructor at OSU, serves on the complaint subcommittee of the Oregon Board of Accountancy.
