CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University Theatre will produce Neil LaBute’s thought-provoking play, “The Shape of Things,” March 5-8 in the Lab Theatre of Withycombe Hall, 30th and Campus Way on the OSU campus.

The performances are: March 5-7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m.

“The Shape of Things” examines relationships, psychology, art, ethics, morality and decency through the interactions of four college students. The play contains language and situations that may be objectionable to some viewers and is not suitable for children.

The four college students are played by Jeff Nichols, Anastasia Bumbar, Michael Bishop and Jamie Bilderback. Nichols has appeared in numerous OSU productions; the other actors will be making their OSU theatrical debut.

The director of the production is Nicholas Sheler, an undergraduate theater major from Lebanon, Ore. Richard Nickerson, also an undergraduate theater major, is the production stage manager. The costume design adviser is Barbara Mason; George Caldwell is the scene/lighting design adviser. Marion Rossi serves as the overall production supervisor.

The box office is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday the week of performances, 6:30 p.m. on evenings of performances, and at 1 p.m. for the Sunday matinee.

Tickets are $8, $6 for seniors, $5 for general students and $4 for OSU students.
