CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University Honors College student Dann Cutter was awarded the Roundtable on Entrepreneurship Education Fellowship at Stanford University for fall 2008.

The REE Fellowship focuses on entrepreneurial development among interdisciplinary and international teams. This year's theme is on food-related sustainability and supply issues worldwide.

The fellowship is awarded annually to a select group of students representing an array of international programs in entrepreneurship. Fellows range from undergraduate students to Ph.D. candidates in various disciplines. Fewer than 60 recipients are selected worldwide, and Cutter was one of only 10 U.S. students to receive the honor.

A senior double degree student in finance and chemistry, Cutter hopes to bring back his experience at Stanford to OSU's Austin Entrepreneurship Program, and is working with AEP Director Christopher Klemm to provide exposure to the REE for OSU students and faculty. Cutter was a recipient of the Waldo Cummings Outstanding Student award in 2007-08, and a three-time recipient of the Whalen Memorial Scholarship from the College of Business as well as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society.

Cutter works at OSU's Hatfield Marine Science Center as a network analyst, and holds elected office as a city councilor for his hometown of Waldport, Ore. from which he commutes to OSU.

The REE Fellowship is part of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program sponsored annual international conference for entrepreneurship educators.
