WARM SPRINGS, Ore. – Shawn Morford, an Extension educator specializing in forestry and natural resources education and program evaluation, has been appointed staff chair of the Oregon State University Extension office on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Central Oregon.

She succeeds Teresa Hogue, who retired recently after a long career with OSU Extension.

Morford has extensive experience developing and delivering natural resources Extension educational programs and in working with Native American tribes in Canada on community development issues. She spent several years with the Forest Research Extension Partnership in British Columbia, and earlier in her career worked for the OSU Extension Service on 4-H youth development programs in Marion County.

OSU Extension staff at Warm Springs work closely with tribal members, providing educational information and programs in agriculture, livestock, 4-H youth development and family and community development.
