CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University's Air Force ROTC Detachment 685 will host a Veteran's Day ceremony and 24-hour vigil starting at 11 a.m. this Friday (Nov 11).
Opening events in the OSU Memorial Union quad include featured speaker Capt. Gary Klink, commander of OSU's Naval ROTC; a 21-gun salute; an F-15 fly-by; and a missing-man drill team presentation.
Air Force ROTC cadets will hold a 24-hour hour vigil through 11 a.m. on Saturday to commemorate military personnel taken prisoner and those reported missing in action. The university's Air Force ROTC program is designed to develop future Air Force officers. The program commissions 15 active-duty officers annually.
