CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University will hold a rulemaking hearing on Wednesday, Nov. 30, to receive public input on two proposed rule changes. The first proposal would allow professional and teaching faculty living in university-owned or controlled buildings to have pets in their residence.

The second proposal would amend the university's faculty grievance procedures to allow faculty members with complaints of discrimination to waive their rights to file a formal grievance under the rules, and instead file a formal complaint through OSU's Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity.

The pet/animal control proposal testimony will begin at noon; the faculty grievance testimony at 12:15 p.m. The hearing will be held in Memorial Union Room 208.
