CORVALLIS - Holly Barnard, of Littleton, Colo., a doctoral student in the Department of Forest Science at Oregon State University, has received a Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowship.

This three-year award is made to only 60 students in the nation each year through the Ford Foundation. It seeks to increase the diversity of the nation's college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and increase the number of professors who will use diversity to enrich the education of all students.

The fellowship provides three years of support for individuals seeking a doctoral degree.
