CORVALLIS - Noche Xtravagante, a night of comedy, live music and food will be hosted by Oregon State University on Friday, Jan. 28 in the Memorial Union Ballroom on the OSU campus.
The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required and can be picked up in OSU's Student Involvement office in Snell Hall, Room 149.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the six-hour event.
Sponsored by OSU's Meso American Student Association, the evening is focused on giving the community knowledge of Meso America - literally, Middle America. The region consists of present day central and southern Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and parts of Honduras and El Salvador. The people in this area have had many similarities in culture, but languages and customs often differ.
