CORVALLIS - Oregon State University's Women's Center is sponsoring a "Girls Are Not Chicks Coloring Contest" to raise funds to bring a feminist activist theater collective to campus this spring.

The public is invited to enter the contest by Feb. 17. There is a $1 fee and entry forms are available at the OSU Women's Center. For information, contact the center at 541-737-3186 or via e-mail at womenscenter@oregonstate.edu.

The winning entry will be displayed in the Women's Center "Creating Reality" art show, which opens Feb. 14 in the OSU Memorial Union Concourse. The winner will also receive two tickets to the Guerilla Girls On Tour performance. All proceeds from the contest go toward bringing the Guerilla Girls On Tour to OSU.

Guerilla Girls On Tour is scheduled to appear at OSU on Thursday, April 21.

The theater group describes its performance as a humorous multimedia, multicultural event designed to promote gender and racial equality. Started in 2001, the performers are a group of anonymous feminists who tour in masks - never revealing their faces.
