CORVALLIS - Proposals are being accepted for Oregon State University's sixth annual Conference on Gender and Culture, April 20-22.
Proposals are welcome from all academic disciplines, community groups and student services areas interested in participating in the conference, said Cynthia Briggs, an OSU doctoral candidate in Counselor Education who is coordinating the conference for the campus Women's Center.
Deadline for submissions is March 5. For information, contact Briggs at 541-737-3175. Proposals should be mailed to Briggs at OSU Women's Center, Benton Annex, Corvallis, OR 97331-2503. Proposals can also be e-mailed to Cynthia.Briggs@oregonstate.edu.
Proposals should address historical or contemporary issues of race, gender, sexuality, and class. Sessions will be limited to one hour and individual papers may be limited to 20 minutes and will be scheduled with other presentations that focus on similar themes.
All proposals must include a working title, a 25-word abstract and complete contact information, including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
