CORVALLIS - Barbara Ainsworth, a noted scholar and researcher on physical activity and health, will give two presentations Feb. 10-11 at Oregon State University as part of the 2005 Lecture Series of the College of Health and Human Sciences.

Ainsworth, a professor in the Department of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences at San Diego State University, will give a lecture, "Physical Inactivity is a Public Health Problem: What Can We Do About It?" starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, in the Construction & Engineering Hall in LaSells Stewart Center. A reception will follow the talk.

Ainsworth will give a second presentation, "Do Neighborhood Environments Promote or Constrain Physical Activity? U.S. and Regional Studies," from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, in Agricultural and Life Sciences Room 4000.

Both presentations are free and open to the public.
