CORVALLIS - Oregon State University, the OSU Bookstore and the U.S. Postal Service have reached an agreement to continue service at the postal substation on OSU's Corvallis campus.

Located in the basement of the Memorial Union, the substation had been scheduled to close Friday, Aug. 12. However, a deal was reached last week to keep it open.

The OSU Bookstore operates the substation under contract with the U.S. Postal Service. Its hours are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We are so glad that everyone stepped up to maintain this valuable service," said Mark McCambridge, OSU vice president for Finance and Administration.
