CORVALLIS - The Extension 4-H Youth Development Program at Oregon State University has awarded more than $11,000 in scholarships to 12 Oregon 4-H members.
Several Oregon 4-H members receive awards from the Oregon 4-H scholarship program annually, said Mary Arnold, OSU Extension Service 4-H youth specialist. Scholarship winners are selected according to achievement in 4-H activities, contributions to community and academic performance.
The donors who support this program see 4-H scholarships for higher education as an important investment in the future of our families and communities, Arnold added.
"The state 4-H program is very grateful for these scholarships and for the individuals, businesses and organizations that give to the state scholarship program," she said.
