CORVALLIS - The Oregon State University Department of Music will present its annual honors recital on Sunday, May 4, at the first Christian Church in Corvallis. The church is located at 602 S.W. Madison Ave.

The program, which begins at 3 p.m., features solo and ensemble performances by outstanding OSU music students. Graduating students will be honored, and top students will receive awards. The event is free and open to the public, and a reception follows the recital.

Singers selected to perform are Ben Ward, bass-baritone; Conrad Buck, baritone; Jonathan Baltera, baritone; Jessica Moolenaar, soprano; and Stephanie Hower, soprano. They will perform works by Handel, Korngold, Barber, Mozart, and Berlioz.

Featured instrumental soloists are Tim Hatcher, clarinet; Rebecca Croco, piano; Elizabeth Roby, piano; Adam Parnell, oboe; Jamie Cherry, piano; and Abigail Sperling, flute. They will perform pieces by Poulenc, Chopin, Saint-Saens, Debussy, and Georges Hue.

OSU music department faculty members Angela Carlson, Brian Conatser, Rebecca Jeffers and Nicola Nine-Zielke will accompany the performers on piano.
