Tax Cuts Workshop on the Web is a free on-line video streaming presentation running through April 15 on implications for family businesses under the new federal tax law.
Family Business Conference 2002 will be held May 1 at the Oregon Garden in Silverton.
The Business Profiles sessions on March 6 and April 4 detail such information as the tools and techniques banks use, the danger signs bankers watch for and what is needed to make a lending decision.
The Family Business Conference will feature Austin Family Business Program founding director Pat Frishkoff as keynote speaker. Educational sessions will address family business issues of succession, management and sustainability. Tours of the Oregon Garden cap the afternoon, followed by a retirement reception for Frishkoff, who is stepping down from her post this spring.
"Since 1985, the Austin Family Business Program has helped Oregon's family-owned businesses not only survive, but thrive under the leadership of future generations," Frishkoff said. The program offers academic courses, workshops and seminars, and other tools to aid families in their business operations and planning.
