CORVALLIS - Oregon State University's Ideas Matter lecture series, which this fall term has focused on the legacy of late environmentalist Rachel Carson, will conclude with an art, poetry and essay exhibition by young students, as well as the final lecture presented by Kathleen Dean Moore.
On Thursday, Dec. 5, at Owen Hall Atrium, a reception will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. while guests have a chance to view "A Sense of Wonder" - an exhibit of elementary and secondary students' work. The reception will be followed by the closing presentation, "Rachel's Challenge," by Moore, an OSU professor of philosophy. The lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Owen Hall Room 102.
Both events are free and open to the public.
