CORVALLIS - Oregon State University's Music a la Carte concert series resumes on Thursday, Jan. 9, in OSU's Memorial Union Lounge. The free public concerts take place every Thursday during winter term from noon to 12:45 p.m., and feature a variety of music.

Audience members are welcome to bring a sack lunch. The OSU Department of Music and the Memorial Union Program Council sponsor the series. For a complete schedule of these and other winter term music events, call the music department at 541-737-4061.

The first concert features Portland's Bill Beach Jazz Trio, with Bill Beach, piano; Dave Captein, bass; and Gary Hobbs, percussion.

Feb. 13: Alfred Muro and his Latin Ensemble: guitar, double-bass, percussion, and vocals;

Feb. 20: OSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble, conducted by David Becker;

Feb. 27: OSU Choirs: Bella Voce directed by Tina Bull, and OSU Meistersingers directed by Steven Zielke;

March 6: Maggie Daane, soprano; Jeanette Brudvig, flute; Jay Chen, trumpet; Rebecca Jeffers, piano; Bob Brudvig, percussion.
