CORVALLIS - The Oregon State University Extension Service has appointed new staff chairs for its offices in Deschutes and Wheeler counties. Teresa Hogue, a leadership specialist, is the new chair of the Extension Service's Deschutes County office. For the immediate future, she also will continue to provide leadership for the Chandler Center for Community Leadership in Bend.
Hogue replaces interim chair Clint Jacks, who will return to his duties as an OSU Extension Service faculty member in rangeland resources for Central Oregon, and continue his duties as staff chair for Jefferson County and the Warm Springs Indian Reservation and as superintendent of OSU's Central Oregon Agricultural Research Center.
Elva Madden, a former 4-H faculty member in the Extension Service's Wheeler County office, has been named interim staff chair for Wheeler County. She replaces David Hamlin, who accepted a position on the OSU campus in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. OSU Extension is seeking a permanent staff chair and faculty member for its Wheeler County office.
