CORVALLIS - Four Oregon State University College of Business students have earned Meier & Frank Junior Scholarships.
Nathan Catchpole, of Corvallis; Steve Richard, Eugene; David Sanders, Beaverton; and Philip Sanchez, Philomath, were selected based on academic achievement and extra-curricular activities.
The award is available to students who will be seniors during the 2001-2002 school year and who have declared a marketing option in the College of Business.
Catchpole has been recognized by the Golden Key National Honor Society and has received the Phi Kappa Phi Junior Accolade award. He has also served as vice president and treasurer of the Legal Studies Society and has worked as a volunteer basketball coach, Sunday school teacher and an assistant pastor.
Richard is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, the Student Alumni Association and Golden Key National Honor Society. He has also earned the Phi Kappa Phi Scholastic Achievement Award and has worked as a volunteer basketball coach.
Sanders served on the Winter Olympics ministry team in Nagano, Japan, and has served a president of the Campus Crusade for Christ, as well as executive board member and Chaplain of the Varsity House. He has earned both the OSU Dean's Scholarship and the Alpha Kappa Psi Scholarship. Sanchez has co-managed 160 missionaries in Little Rock, Ark. and has earned recognition as a Golden Key National Honor Society nominee.
