ORVALLIS - TRIAD, a group of people affiliated with Oregon State University who meet weekly for lunch and a program during the academic year, will mark its 75th anniversary by updating and republishing a history of the organization, which was last published in celebration of the group's 50th anniversary.

Bill Wilkins, dean emeritus of the College of Liberal Arts and chair of the TRIAD History Committee, said the triad referred to in the group's title is service, fellowship, and cooperation.

"An average of about 60 people currently meet on campus over lunch almost every week during the academic year," Wilkins said. "The composition of the group varies from week to week."

Wilkins said the first step in republishing the group's history will be the taking of a group photograph on the north steps of the Memorial Union at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9. It will be the first such photo in 25 years and the first since women joined the organization.

Current and former members of TRIAD are encouraged to participate in the photo.

"Since it will be the first such photo in 25 years," Wilkins said. "We are trying to get as many former members as possible out for the photo."
