CORVALLIS - Rebecca Johnson, an associate professor of forest resources and director of undergraduate education in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University, has been named assistant dean for academic affairs in the college.
In this position Johnson will be responsible for the administration of academic affairs, including student services, advising and educational programs. She will coordinate and lead curriculum and accreditation activities.
Johnson has been on the OSU faculty for 15 years, teaches forest recreation economics, and does research on the economic value of non-commodity forest outputs and the economic impacts of forest uses on local economies. She has been a member of the Governor's Council of Economic Advisors for nine years.
