CORVALLIS - Oregon State University has elected a president and vice president for the campus Memorial Union Program Council.

Kevin Lyons, a junior in management information services, steps up as MUPC president and Karianne Stinson, a sophomore in liberal studies, takes the post of vice president on July 1.

Lyons is current MUPC vice president . Stinson is the council's holiday special events director and is a member of the OSU chapter of Chi Omega sorority.

The Memorial Union Program Council is a student-run group that organizes activities for students, faculty and the community. Concerts, comedy shows, lectures, movies, holiday celebrations and Mom's and Dad's Weekends are among the activities coordinated by the council. The council, with 15 committees, is the largest student programming group on campus.
