CORVALLIS - A newly formed Corvallis Community Choir will begin rehearsals this fall at Oregon State University.

The new choir will be directed by Michael Coolen, a professor in the OSU Department of Music.

Repertory will include selections from a wide variety of choral music, including traditional and contemporary classical music, medleys from Broadway shows, ethnic choral music, and choral music from operas.

Rehearsals will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, beginning Oct. 1, in Benton Hall Room 204. Participation is open to all adults who love to sing, and does not require enrollment at OSU.
