CORVALLIS - Willie E. "Skip" Rochefort, an associate professor of chemical engineering at Oregon State University, has received the Dow Outstanding New Faculty Award from Dow Chemical.

This award recognizes engineering educators of outstanding ability who have recently entered this profession, and is one of only 12 of its type made nationally each year. The award includes registration and travel expenses to attend the annual conference of the American Society for Engineering Education.

Rochefort received his doctorate from the University of California at San Diego in 1986 and has been on the OSU faculty since 1993.
