NEWPORT - A course designed to help elementary school teachers incorporate art instruction into their curriculum will be offered this winter by the OSU Statewide program at Oregon State University.

Titled "Art for Teachers," it will meet state of Oregon mandates for infusing art into elementary school curriculum, and explore art versus crafts, national and state art assessment standards, multi-cultural art curriculums and other topics.

The course will be taught on weekends beginning Feb. 21 at the OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport. For more information on this course, registration, fees, or other available OSU Statewide offerings, call 1-800-235-6559.
