CORVALLIS - Celebrating diversity is the focus of Queer Pride Week at Oregon State University, May 2-9.
Events are sponsored by campus and community groups, including OSU's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Alliance.
Activities will include talks and panels on diversity, a self-defense workshop, a dance, and a rock and folk concert.
On Saturday, May 2, the Queer Pride Tent is scheduled to open in the Memorial Union Quad. The tent will remain open until May 9 and volunteers will offer brochures, T-shirts, advice and support. The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, in the OSU Memorial Union Quad. For information, call 541-737-6360.
