CORVALLIS - An Oregon State University student from Springfield has earned two top honors.

Kendra Wise, a senior in science, was honored with the American Association of University Women's Senior Woman Recognition Award.

The award recognizes outstanding scholarship, character and personality and is given to students who have high potential for future achievement.

Wise has served as opinion page editor of The Daily Barometer, OSU's student newspaper, and has also worked as newspaper business manager and a residential life staff member in the OSU Student Housing and Residence Program.
