CORVALLIS - The J.M. Long Foundation has awarded $2,000 to the College of Pharmacy at Oregon State University to support student scholarships.
The gift is part of "an ongoing investment" to help the college in its effort to prepare community pharmacists, according to Dave Fong, senior vice president of pharmacy for Longs Drug Stores.
Steven Roath, a 1964 pharmacy graduate from OSU, is president of Longs.
The OSU College of Pharmacy has 268 students, including those in a five-year undergraduate program and a newly established Pharm.D. advanced degree program.
